Prof. Dr. Baumgart
Prof. Dr. Baumgart is the founder and partner of the Metamedicum group practice (Essen/Düsseldorf) and an internationally recognized internist and cardiologist.
Previously, he headed the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Essen University Hospital. He is the author of numerous scientific publications and textbooks and serves as a reviewer on various medical boards. As a member of the faculty at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Prof. Dr. Baumgart is actively involved in academic teaching and contributes to the training of the next generation of physicians.
For over 22 years, he has been intensively involved in preventive medicine, with a particular focus on longevity. He is now one of the leading experts in this field in the German-speaking world.
His own recovery from an illness has further deepened his interest in the preventive and therapeutic potential of nutrition and supplements – both out of personal conviction and scientific motivation.
His goal: to help people stay healthy, productive, and vital for as long as possible. Prof. Dr. Baumgart is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences and symposia, particularly on cardiology and preventive medicine topics.

Sustainability is an integral part of our business. Our MIRON jars are reusable and recyclable. We only offer secondary packaging made of grass paper upon request to conserve resources. Our refills are also made of grass paper with a rice paper closure – a virtually completely compostable solution. What is special about PDB?

In contrast to low-quality mass-produced products, which usually only contain a basic formula with low-dose ingredients, we place particular emphasis on evidence-based, purity-based, and the highest possible bioavailability of nutrients. In keeping with our "Clean Supplements" credo, our products are free of unnecessary additives, contain no inferior fillers, and, through the use of branded raw materials, offer proven effectiveness supported by research.
What quality standards do you adhere to?
We consciously avoid harmful substances and instead rely on high-quality, pure active ingredients in optimal dosages to ensure maximum tolerability and effectiveness. While inexpensive products are often primarily designed for low-cost production and long shelf life, our focus is on purity, bioavailability, and proven efficacy.
Are your products suitable for a vegan/vegetarian diet?
We place great importance on quality and a recipe that is as vegan as possible. Wherever possible, we use high-quality vegan ingredients. However, not all raw materials are currently available in vegan versions of the desired quality. Therefore, our Immun product is vegetarian but not vegan. Omega 3 is also not vegan, as it is based on fish oil.

Sustainability in our nutritional supplements is particularly important to us in order to minimize negative impacts on the environment, conserve resources, and promote ethical production conditions. The growing market is leading to increased demand for raw materials, which can lead to environmental pollution and unfair working conditions if production is not sustainable.
